Privacy Policy
Effective June 10, 2026
Truvaro ("we", "us") is a personal budgeting app that helps you track spending and plan monthly budgets. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign up, our authentication provider (Clerk) stores your email address and, if you use one, your password or social-login identity.
- Bank and transaction data. If you connect a financial institution, we use Plaid to securely retrieve your account balances and transactions. We never see or store your bank login credentials — those are handled by Plaid.
- Budget data you create. Categories, budgets, bills, income sources, and any notes or edits you make in the app.
- Subscription status. If you purchase Truvaro Pro, our payments provider (RevenueCat, through the App Store) tells us whether your subscription is active. We do not receive your full payment card details.
How we use your information
- To provide the core budgeting features: showing your transactions, spending by category, and budget progress.
- To sync your data across your devices and, if you choose, with an invited partner.
- To send budget alerts and reminders you have enabled.
- To operate, secure, and improve the app.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that make the app work — Clerk (authentication), Plaid (bank connections), and RevenueCat/the App Store (subscriptions) — and only as needed to provide their service, or when required by law.
Data security
Bank access tokens are encrypted at rest. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Deleting your account and data
You can permanently delete your account at any time from inside the app, under Tools → Delete Account. Deleting your account revokes any connected bank links, removes your transactions and budget data from our servers, and deletes your login. This action cannot be undone.
Your choices
- Disconnect a linked bank at any time from the Accounts screen.
- Turn budget notifications on or off in Notification Settings.
- Contact us to request a copy of your data.
Children
Truvaro is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
